Mazda are due to reveal a new sports car concept at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show.
Mazda are highlighting their unique approach to the “joy of driving” which suggests the car is a possible successor to the RX-8.
From the teaser photo the car features a long bonnet, the body then flows down to the rear which seems to have a retractable rear spoiler and rear lights heavily inspired by the RX-7.
It would be nice to see Mazda make a comeback with a rotary engine sports car as there’s a clear gap in the market but it’s uncertain whether the demand is still there.
We’ll have to wait until the Tokyo Motor Show to see the full deal which starts late October.
