TVR has announced that they will reveal a new sports car at Goodwood Revival this September.
The car will weigh 1200 kg and will be powered by a five-litre Cosworth developed V8-engine that produces 400bhp. 0-60mph is achieved in less than 4 seconds and the car is able to hit the 200mph mark.
Gordon Murray helped design the car, he is known as the co-designer of the iconic McLaren MP4/4 F1 car.
The new TVR will be revealed in the Earls Court building at Goodwood Revival and will be in company of heritage TVRs to celebrate their 70th anniversary.
“We are incredibly excited to be unveiling the new car at the Goodwood Revival. It’s the first time a global launch of a new car has occurred at the event, and it seems an entirely appropriate place for us to do it, with the marque’s motorsport heritage and an enthusiastic audience of dedicated car fans – and in our 70th anniversary year. After a series of secret private viewings organised for the benefit of existing customers for the new car, we know that we have a surefire hit on our hands, and very much look forward to seeing the public reaction in September.” said Les Edgar, Chairman of TVR.
They will only be an allocation of 500 Launch Edition cars priced under £90,000. TVR are expecting to stop orders before resuming on the 8th September after the reveal.
