BMW have revealed the new 2018 M5 Saloon, the sixth generation of the model.
The all-new M5 will come with a 4.4-litre V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo making it more powerful than ever. Along with the M xDrive all-wheel drive system, the M5 can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 3.4 seconds.
The M xDrive system can be configured to the driver’s needs with a choice of M Dynamic, 4WD Sport and 2WD.
All-new M5’s will come with a new M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic which allows quick shift times.
To look at, the exterior has a redesigned front bumper with enlarged air openings. The new M5 has a wider track. At the back there’s a new rear diffuser helping to enhance the M5’s sporty look.
It will come with a range of colours. Marina Bay Blue metallic is a new paint and there’s choice of matt, such as Frozen Dark Silver or Frozen Arctic Grey.
The bonnet is made of aluminium and the roof is made from carbon fibre reinforced plastic to help towards weight reduction.
There’s high level of standard equipment with the M5 which include M multifunctional seats finished in Fine grain Merino leather, central touch-screen display with gesture control and head-up display which shows all performance settings.
M Carbon ceramic brakes, which only weigh 23kg, are available as an option which the callipers are finished in a matt Gold-coloured with M logo.
The all-new BMW M5 will launch in February 2018.
